You've got antivirus software loaded on your PC, right? Right. Then, read no further, see you next week.
If you don't have antivirus software loaded on your PC, you need to get one. Now.
Two well known antivirus software packages are McAffee and Norton. I used McAffee for many months with no problems. However, one of their automated updates caused problems (my PC wouldn't shut down whenever McAffee was enabled). Too many hours with their customer services folks still didn't resolve the problem, so I switched to Norton , and I've been happy ever since. I've had other problems w/ McAffee, also. For this reason, I would recommend Norton over McAffee.
If you'd like to do a little more research on those two before you actually purchase one of them, you can downloadAVG 6.0 for free. PC World also lists several other free antivirus software downloads. Whatever you choose, just make sure you have antivirus software up to date and running on your PC at all times. Be sure to also test your Firewall Software.
